ERROR :Hub failed to open error, No more data is available. (0x00000103)

Hello,

I am trying out VirtualHere after it was suggested on an Nvidia Shield forum.

I've installed the app to the Nvidia Shield TV and connected just one bluetooth dongle to the shield.

I am now running the client on Windows 10 Pro 64bit, but when I select to use the device I get the following errors.

2021-03-10 16:05:41 INFO :No drivers found, they will be installed
2021-03-10 16:05:46 INFO :SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces failed
2021-03-10 16:05:46 ERROR :Hub failed to open error, No more data is available. (0x00000103)

Any idea how to resolve this? Happy to provide anything that might help solve it.

Thanks!

Michael

Could you try

vhui64.exe -y

then

vhui64.exe -d

does that fix the problem?

Sorry for the delay. I was

Sorry for the delay. I was out of town for a few weeks...

After running the second command I get a popup that says "Error 2 installing drivers, The system cannot find the file specified."

And I get this in the log from the gui.

Can you try using the device again via virtualhere (so virtualhere client will attempt to install the drivers) then paste the whole log from the gui (not just parts)

To install the drivers the virtualhere client will extract them to the %TEMP% directory then run pnputil to install them. Somehow your %TEMP% dir doesnt seem to exist or has permission issues...

Maybe its being blocked by an anti-virus program? Can you stop that while virtualhere installs, then start it again

ReenigneArcher
That was the entire log.

That was the entire log.

My %TEMP% directory does exist. The environment variable points to "C:\Users\ReenigneArcher\AppData\Local\Temp"

I don't have any anti-virus software besides what's built into Windows.

I have disabled real time protection as Windows calls it. And attempted again.

This is complete log that is shown to me (I cleared it before trying to "use this device"). I also tried running the vhui64.exe as admin with the same results.

2021-04-13 20:48:55 INFO :No drivers found, they will be installed
2021-04-13 20:49:00 INFO :SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces failed
2021-04-13 20:49:00 ERROR :Hub failed to open error, No more data is available. (0x00000103)

P.S. I tried on another Windows computer and don't have the problem there.

Does it have an !!! lines in there related to vhusb3hc ?

ReenigneArcher
Nothing with "!!!" for

Nothing with "!!!" for vhusb3hc, only this is at the very end of the file related to vh:

cmd: "C:\Users\ReenigneArcher\Downloads\vhui64.exe" -y
