Sound issues : Raspberry Pi 2/3 with RTL-SDR over LAN/WIFI

Hi folks,

I am trying to run the RTL-SDR on the latest version of Raspbian installed on a Pi 2. I can connect to the USB port from my windows 10 laptop, am able to start SDR# and connect to the RTL-SDR as well but the sound is really poor, seem to have an issue with the stream coming through.

I've tried this both using a LAN cable between the laptop, Pi 2 and also over Wifi. Wifi just makes it useless, can't even seem to maintain a connection.

Now, on this same Pi 2 i have airspy running and can get a really clear stream, connect to from SDR# and listen to the feeds from airspy. So not entirely sure why VH is delivering such a poor quality stream.

Using the evaluation version before i decide to pick up a license.

Should also mention i tried this on a Pi 3 B with similar results. No difference at all.

Any thoughts?
