Thrustmaster T248 + Logitech TH8A combo no longer working

Hello,

I would like to request assistance with a connectivity issue I started encountering a while back;

I'd been using Nvidia Shield with Steam Link and VirtualHere to connect Thrustmaster T248 (steering wheel) + Logitech TH8 (gear shifter) to my PC. It used to work real well, but since maybe a year or a half this solution no longer works for me.

I've recorded two screen captures to exemplify the issue.

When connected directly (https://sonorousregalia.egnyte.com/dl/USI0E4dHd3) I am able to connect both devices and each of them is recognized in the Windows Device Manager as well as Logitech Thrustmaster Control Panel.

When connected via VirtualHere (https://sonorousregalia.egnyte.com/dl/XVnug9n3yU) I am able to connect Logitech TH8, but Thrustmaster T248 is not recognized in the Logitech Thrustmaster Control Panel and is listed in Windows Device Manager with some driver issues.

Could you please look into this issue?

Can you double check you are using the latest virtualhere android server from the play store. See if there is an update for your android device to the latest virtualhere app.

I fixed a Thrustmaster bug about 2 months ago and it looks like you are using the older android app before this bug was fixed.

Hello,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I have verified that

I managed to retrieve the logs from the USB server as well: https://sonorousregalia.egnyte.com/dl/8YXyxjRDs7

I'll share the client logs as well: https://sonorousregalia.egnyte.com/dl/FG01s6jQ9s

Can you download the new virtualhere client from here https://www.virtualhere.com/usb_client_software

and overwrite the old vhui64.exe on your pc which is likely in the steamapps virtualhere folder. Then start virtualhere in steam like you normally do and display the client and right click USB Hubs->About and make sure it says 5.5.3 (it will have to install a newer virtualhere driver so it will ask for permission when you start streaming)

(Steam has the 5.0.0 client and the latest is 5.5.3 on this website.)

See if that makes a difference, let me know how it goes..
