Cannot get MIMO usb display working

When I plug in a mimo usb display on the server-side, the log indicates it recognizes it just fine, and it does appear properly on the client-side list of available devices. But when I try "Use this device" I get the following on the server log:

2019-11-12 17:44:54 INFO :Installing driver for class Display {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
2019-11-12 17:44:54 INFO :Downloading https://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/windows/win64/...
2019-11-12 17:44:54 ERROR :There was an error downloading, HTTP response code said error (404)
2019-11-12 17:44:54 ERROR :Could not install driver for class Display
2019-11-12 17:44:54 ERROR :Error binding device 15 [17e9:02ff] to connection 1, BIND_ERROR

So it looks like it's trying to find a driver to install but can't find it in the VH site.

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks!

Exit the server, download and run this version instead https://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/vhusbdwindk64.exe

I tried the version you posted. Seems it installed new drivers, and restarted the PC. When I restarted the server, it did recognize the MIMO, but had an error when I tried to use the device from the client. Are you able to get USB displays to work for you? Here's the log, thanks.

Ran a couple more experiments. I had Logitech C525 webcam where video worked fine and low resolutions, but which doesn't work with the new server you posted. When I got back to the original server the video works again. Nothing unusual shows up in either the client or server logs regarding the webcam. Don't know if this could be related to the MIMO...

OK i would recommend using a linux server if possible then . Looks like its not fully compatible with both devices on the windows server

Thanks... do you know that USB displaylink displays would actually work if I try a linux server?

Michael

Yes display link should work i have been told it does by other customers (i have not tested it myself however)

Ok, will try an RPi 3 that I have handy and let you know how it goes. Will the license I purchased for windows also work for Linux? Thanks!

Michael

Did the pi3 work ok? I can move the license key to there since your windows server doesnt work

Just tried the MIMO on the pi3 and it's working great. What do I need to do to move windows license to the pi? Thanks!

Well, at least the video part is working great for sure. When I get the license I'll be able to try the touch controller, which enumerates as a separate device.

When you see the Raspberry Hub listed in the client, right click USB Hubs->License...->Copy to clipboard and paste into an email to mail@virtualhere.com

Just wanted to close off this topic, MIMO and corresponding touch are working great over pi3. Thanks!
