Looks like you have an awesome tool, but I am having some trouble getting it working.
First, I bought the steam version to use with my steam link. It all worked correctly (the devices are recognized) but causes tremendous lag/stuttering when used with my devices. I went to plan B and installed the free linux version on my ASUS router to see if it performs better, and it looks like it's working fine.. smooth, no lag, no stutters. Is this a known issue? Should I just refund my purchase on Steam and buy the linux version?
Is there a reason the version for the ASUS router is much more expensive than the steam version I bought with device limits removed (50$ vs 24$)?

Yes the steamlink is 5+ years old now and technology has improved where even a router has a faster cpu then the old steamlink :)
And plus there is one less network hop if you are directly using the router as the virtualhere server.
Anyway yes you should get a refund from valve for the steamlink. And yes its more expensive on this website because its not bundled with any valve software
