Starting VirtualHere server on Win 10 machine disables Bluetooth on server

When I start the virtualhere server on my laptop it disables my bluetooth or at least causes my mouse and keyboard to lose their bluetooth connection to the laptop. The only way I have found to restore their connection is restart my laptop.

Anyone have a workaround for this?

Here is the log from the last session where virtualhere wiped out the bluetooth on my laptop

Michael,

thanks for the link to the alternate version. The alternate version you posted does work for a while but ultimately ends up in the bluetooth being wiped out. Below id the log from my last session. If anyone has a solution I would greatly appreciate it.

Im thinking it might be radio interference, is your dongle really close to your comptuer?

I think it probably uses the same frequency as bluetooth and both radios next to each other is causing bluetooth to drop. Do you have a usb hub, perhaps plug that into the pc and the dongle into that and move it as far as it reaches away from the pc.

As an experiment I did place the dongle in my docking station which sits some 3 feet away from my laptop and the problem continues to persist.

When using the 3d mouse connected to the dongle and my bluetooth mouse both on my laptop there is no interference and both devices work perfectly all the time. The only time I have the bluetooth being wiped out is when the I am using the dongle through virtualhere on a remote machine.

Is there anyway I can force virtual here to only look at the dongle and not perfrom the CM_Get_DevNode_PropertyW (Class) on the bluetooth usb interface?

I am already running a config.ini that specifies an AllowedDevices (the 3Dconnexion, 3Dconnexion Universal Receiver) and also has the IgnoredDevices line.

OK im not sure sorry, i dont know what the issue is. Try running virtualhere server on a cloudhub or something like that instead https://www.virtualhere.com/hardware
