xBox One S with Wireless Adapter Audio/Loss Connection Issue

Hi everyone,

I have been using VirtualHere on my Raspberry Pi 3B+ to connect my xBox One S controller that is paired to my xBox Wireless Adapter to not only use the controller for Steam games, but also stream audio from the games to headphones. My Pi is hooked up to a 100mbps switch that is connected to a DECA Ethernet to Coax Adapter that is connected to a Gigabit switch, which is also connected to may gaming PC.

I can play games fine in Moonlight to my TV with no issues at 1080p; ditto for most games when using my headphones connected to my xBox One S controller. However, when I play No Man’s Sky, the audio gets choppy or the controller completely loses its connection. What’s weird is that this occurs sometimes with Dead or Alive 5, but extremely rare. I tried Subnautica, no issue. I have even adjusted resolutions, no dice.

Can you please help?

Sorry im not sure exactly why just that game would cause issues.

I figured it out. My CPU needed to be upgraded to a “VR Ready” CPU, so I upgraded my FX6300 to an FX8350, and boom the problem disappeared. Really odd that a CPU upgrade was that badly needed, but whatever it works great now :-)

Thanks for letting me know. That is surprising, i thought the cpu bottleneck would have been at the pi side
