VirtualHere Server for Raspberry-Pi 4 / Windows 10 x64 Client / Problems with Audio-/Video-Devices

Hello,

I use VirtualHere Server licensed / optimized on a Raspberry-Pi4 as USB-Server and VirtualHere Client in Windows 10 x64.

I experienced massive problems if audio-/ video-devices are connected. Some Logitech webcams are recognized but don't work and let even Windows 10 crash with blue-screen "DPC Watchdog Violation". Even a "Sennheiser USB Headset PC 8" wasn't able to use plug-and-play. The device is displayed in Windows 10 system management as "usb-device" with yellow exclamation mark.

After this unexpected results I tested every single device with a Silex "SX-DS-4000U2" and had no single problem- every audio and video device was properly recognized and working.

What to do?

Sounds like you have a buggy kernel on your pi. VirtualHere works fine with all those devices. Especially logitech

Do you have a recommendation to use a certain kernel version? I just set up a new Raspi 4 with latest OS "Raspian Lite Buster" and VirtualHere. That's all.

Can you send me the output of

uname -a

Thanks, I will test earlier kernel soon and report again. For now I extended my test-drive and can confirm, that more recent webcams from Logitech are working flawlessy. I seems, that in earlier tests some older webcams caused BOSD and malfunction of other usb-devices connected by VirtualHere.
