Sytem Messages: "Could not connect" and "Error 10065"

This is a connection between a Synology DS1819+ (DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 2) and a Win10 machine. This happened prior to updating to the new vhui64 client and then again after updating to the client. Note: The program IS still running on the Synology, and the USB devices ARE still able to connect to the Win10 machine with client. Thx

How many network adapters/what type does your client pc have?

#3

PC is a laptop, with Wifi onboard only but that is not used as the PC is also connected to a Dock via USB. The dock has a 1Gb ethernet adapter, and this is what I use. Dock is a Display Link 4k Plug and Play. (Display Link Manager v 9.3.3324.0). The error only happened once previous to yesterday with an older version of VirtualHere. At that time, I simply stopped the service and restarted it and the issue seem to go away. However, yesterday it would continue to come back and the System Messages window popup would appear every time the error was reported, so I turned it off.

This morning I have restarted the service again and have had no issues yet. I haven't restarted the PC at all, but the last night Synology was restarted for other reasons...if that helps. Thx.

In the virtualhere client, right click USB Hubs->Auto-Find and UNcheck that.

Then restart the client then right click USB Hubs->Specify Hubs and put in the ip address of the synology colon 17570 e.g 192.168.1.1:17570

that will then resolve the mdns issue as you are not using auto-find. I suspect its some bug in the network driver for your dock

Thanks for the tip. I already had the Specify Hubs populated with the IP's and port...I did now uncheck the "Auto-Find" and will let you know if I have any further issues.

Thx!
