i'm using virtual here from some here.
Atm i have virtualhere server installe on 2 NAS synology and i have the client on:
1) windows 10 (working fine)
2) mac Catalini (working fine)
3) mac El Capitan (not working)
4) mac big sur (not working)
5) windows server 2012, using Remote Desktop (not working).
The application is correctly installed but when i select the remote usb on the client it seam like it is not connected.
The remote device that i'm trying to connect is a bit4id smartcard reader; connecting it locally it will work with no problem.
Using El capitan, big sur or windows server it is not working.
Can you give me some suggestion?

Yes OSX only supports some devices. Apple has messed up osx for the last few years and broke some stuff. Apple says possibly a fix is coming in big sur or the next release so at the moment OSX support is only for particular USB devices.
Smartcards etc work fine via virtualhere on windows/linux. You are probably using Remote desktop to access your windows machines and that will block smartcards being send via virtualhere. You need to use vnc

But why virtualhere is working on Catalina (same card reader and same Smart card) and is not working on El Capitan (older version) or big sur (lastre OS X)?

Because apple completely removed support in El Capitan for virtualhere. Then a lot of people complained so they put back partial support in 10.12 onwards

I don't know, apparently there is a possible fix in Big Sur but that's all i know at the moment. That's the message i received from apple recently
