USB Licensing Dongle not passing through (Windows Server -> Win11 for Workstations)

I have an audio workstation PC, a video editing rig, and a file server. I'm trying to virtualize my software activation dongles because I'm constantly having to move them around and it's REALLY annoying. Anyway, I activated a bunch of software plugin licenses to a spare USB dongle passed through via VirtualHere. Now, that software will ONLY recognize that USB dongle when it's passed through. If it's plugged in directly, it sees it as a USB dongle with a bunch of invalid software licenses.

What's more, VirtualHere just stopped successfully passing this dongle through to my workstation for some reason. The server sees it and is passing it through to the client, the client sees it NOT as what I renamed it before but as its default name from the manufacturer. When I connect to it via the client, it doesn't successfully enumerate to my workstation. In fact, if I leave it in this state long enough, it will actually cause a hard reset of my workstation.

Pretty stressed out right now, because I can't recover these licenses for several more months, and I can't really work without them. I think If I can get this dongle to passthrough successfully again, it'll probably work. But, I don't know why it's suddenly having so much trouble.

After doing more research, I've figured out that the USB dongle is getting a different ID (vendorID? productID? no idea) when it successfully enumerates through VH and that isn't happening when it connects normally.

I...REALLY...need that ID to match or the enumeration to happen successfully or I'm going to be in trouble. Maybe it has something to do with this?

abcd,1234 is an invalid device. I think you should try using another disk to store the licenses. Something is not standard with that disk and it wont pass through properly

Oh my god I forgot to allow VH through this computer's firewall.

Brutal.
