Unraid and Virtualhere (client)

Hey there,

I've been using VH for a very long time and still love it. Now I've been doing stuff on my unraid server and thought: "it would be handy to be able to plug in a usb device downstairs and I can access it on my server"

Now there are various plugins for usb management, even one with USB-IP .. but none with Virtualhere. This is sad but not a drama ofc. I was thinking one of 2 things:

- an unraid plugin (plg) that just installs virtualhere-client on the server;

- USB-IP server on virtualhere server.

The first one would be a bit of work but I think even I can make a plg. The second one would allow for existing plugins (that use USB-IP) to just do their work as normal. I'm not asking to add it to the server, but is there a way to do it myself?

Actually i dont think commercial products are allowed in the Unraid Community App Store, that is why i havent put virtualhere in there.

Ah good point actually. Tho plex and stuff is in there too. Not sure what they would consider "commercial".

Well just solved it with the linux commandline util. The "go" file in my unraid now copies it to tmp, +x-es it and runs it with -n

Would love a web management for this :P but meh beggers can't be choosers :)

Ok great, glad you got it working.
