Error, couldnt find CM_Unregister_Notification when listening for COM port plug/unplug

Hi Michael,

I've recently had an issue regarding client v5.5.2, as described and fixed here:

https://www.virtualhere.com/node/3971

After upgrading to version v5.5.3, I get a different error when starting the client:

Error, couldnt find CM_Unregister_Notification when listening for COM port plug/unplug

The client works okay afterwards. I'm running the client as a service and connecting to a "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge". Note that this error is not there when I use version v5.5.2. So I guess it has something to do with the newer version, v5.5.3?

Thanks for any insight.

Regards,

Marko

What version of windows are you using?

#3

Windows 7. I understand it's not supported and I'm not asking you to fix it, but maybe consider just having an option to disable the query of the COM port number in the client? Just this particular feature (that was added in the newest version) is causing the error - the client works okay after confirming the error...

OK i can disable this error message in the next build

Thank you very much, Michael!

PS: The error is also there (in Windows Event Log) when running the client as a Windows service, so please disable it also in service mode.

I can confirm that the error message is gone in the latest version (5.5.4).

Thank you, Michael!
