I've tried to use the client on both OSX and Windows to connect to my WD PR4100 NAS. I can see the WD drive I have connected in the WD local web page. The client can see the Hub and NAS and drive.

When I right click and choose use this device (on any of the items listed) I get a popup saying "Sorry disks cannot be redirected via VirtualHere on a WD MyCloud NAS"
Any ideas?

Yes that is correct, for some reason Western Digital wanted me to put that restriction in there. So you cant redirect disks, but everything else you can redirect on the WD NAS
