rtl9210b-cg failure

Failed to connect to USB attached NVMe drive, showing as the following https://www.realtek.com/en/products/connected-media-ics/item/rtl9210b-cg, logging this in case it's useful -

Server: Ubuntu running 5.15.0-56-generic Kernel
Client: Mac OS X Ventura

Device is visible, connect and then it doesn't become visible, this is the error -

I have the exact same error, with three exceptions:

- client is on version 5.5.5 (Compiled: Sep 25 2023 18:33:05)

- server is a NAS (Qnap TS-253D with QTS 5.1.1.2491)

- disk is a standard external USB drive (Seagate)

I think you might have to plug it into a USB 2 port on your nas or through a USB2 hub if possible on the nas.

Thanks yes let me know, i suspect it might be related to Bulk Streaming incompatibility in USB 3 mode.
