Issue with virtualhere + stream via steam + racing wheel

Hello,

I'm trying to setup my racing wheel to work in another room as my main computer.

To do so, I'm streaming my Steam game from my main gaming desktop computer to a low end laptop connected to the racing wheel.

The racing wheel don't seem to work in game. The racing wheel is displayed as "In use by you" in the virtualHere client but the inputs are apparently not recognized.

I have tried with both the PS4-PS5 mode and PC mode.

  1. In PS4-PS5 mode some inputs are captured in the desktop but only buttons (not the wheel or pedals). In this mode, the naming of the wheel is not "Thrustmaster T300RS Racing wheel" but "Thrustmaster Racing Wheel FFB". The inputs are shown in the test properties area of the Game Controllers settings but are not working in game. On the laptop end, there is no controller detected in the "Game Controllers" settings.
  2. When using PC mode, all inputs seems to work as expected in the laptop testing properties area  but nothing is displaying in the "Game Controllers" on desktop side. No inputs seems to be received in desktop.

Am I doing something wrong ? How can I fix my problem ?

Thanks,

Complete setup :

  • Desktop pc streaming Forza Motorsport in Steam to the laptop with VirtualHere client running and wheel recognized and set as "in use by you".
  • Laptop connected to the wheel -> Thrustmaster T300RS GT Racing wheel and VirtualHere server running.
  • Device properties :
    • Vendor ID : 0x044F
    • Product ID : 0xB66E

Thank you for your response.

Is it a new issue ? Was it working before with T300 ?

I noticed the last firmware version of the driver is dated on 3rd October 2023, maybe this is the issue ?

If you need some testing from me or anything don't hesitate.
