Been struggling with this for too long now, when I try and upload the package from the server page (MIPS) I get an error that the file is not packaged correctly.
I tried VirtualHere because it seemed like it was supposed to be easier than USBIP package.

The MIPS server on the linux page is the actual server binary to run. It is not a package. It is the actual executable.
You need an ipk package for the gl-inet. Here is a link to the one you need to upload
