a shot in the dark with respect to a Biometric sensor

Hi.  A shot in the dark...

I bought VirtualHere a while back - I can see and use all the USB devices I have plugged in at home (the VirtualHere server on macOS Sonoma).  Typically I am only using a 3D mouse for work in CAD software on my work computer (Windows 10).  Other than some minor hiccups along the way, it's been good.

I have setup "Windows Hello" on the work (client) computer - both using a camera/face and a USB Fingerprint Key (Kensington VeriMark IT).  Both work "locally" at the work computer.

When I take the Fingerprint Key home and plug it in I do see it on my work computer - both in the VirtualHere client application, and also under the category Biometric Devices in Windows Device Manager.  So far so good.

But in this scenario, the fingerprint key is not seen by the Windows "sign-in options" list in Windows settings. Actually neither is the local to the work computer Windows Hello face camera - although again, it is listed in Device Manager.

So - it seems likely that all is good with the VirtualHere server/client operation, and this is perhaps an issue with something disabled or unavailable under Windows Remote Desktop.  Would you concur?  Do you happen to have any other insight?  I've looked around the web but most all scenarios are about authentication to login over a remote session, which is not the actual problem I have (though perhaps it is all related).

Thank you.

Yes i think sometimes remote desktop blocks smartcard passthrough for some reason.

As a test install vnc on your windows pc and login via vnc and see if that works. If it does work then its definatley RDP blocking it
