Hello,
I am having a very frustrating issue, I purchased and installed VirtualHere Windows Server to run on a sim rig machine running in my shed. I then installed VirtualHere Windows Client on my main gaming computer inside my office to use these USB Devices in-game.
On the server side we have the following USB devices;
- Moza R9 (V1) Base
- Moza SRP Pedals
- ODDOR Handbrake
- Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter
On the client machine we can correctly see all of these devices appear in the list, we are also able to activate with no issues the following;
- Moza SRP Pedals (COM Port)
- ODDOR Handbrake
- Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter
These work flawlessly and cause no issues, however once i select "Use This Device" on the Moza R9 Base the server machines throws a BSOD with a "WDF_VIOLATION" message.
Resolution Attempts
I have tried the following steps with no success;
- Swap the USB port used by the base unit (all ports on the machine have been tried)
- Remove the wheel from the base unit
- Swap the wheel from the base unit (different steering wheel attachments)
- Install/Remove Moza Pit House software from Server & Client
- Update hardware firmware for all Moza Hardware to latest
- Set base unit into "Standby" mode
- Running VirtualHere from the Microsoft Store
Would really appreciate some assistance on this as I am blocked

Some progress, more testing
UPDATE:
I uninstalled Moza Pit House again, but this time also removed the Moza Windows Driver using Device Manager. The server no longer goes into BSOD however we now see a Surprise Unbound message, the device is almost instantly disconnected.
I also find it interesting that the device is re-found by the server, almost like the USB connection was reset?

Have also tried setting custom event
onReset.$VENDOR_ID$.$PRODUCT_ID$=
as mention in another thread about G25 Racing Wheel, it does not fix the issue however..
Could you stop and exit the virtualhere server exe and then download this test build of the server and let me know if it works https://www.virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/test/vhusbdwinw64.exe
Hey Michael,Thanks for theā¦
Hey Michael,
Thanks for the quick reply, great news is that the version you shared makes everything work amazingly well. It still seems to Surprise Unbound but quickly recovers and stays stable. I tested in a few different scenarios including swapping the attached steering wheel on the base and the system quickly updates for the new wheel. Latest logs below, this shows our initial connection and then wheel swaps.

Should I just continue running this version, or are there other steps you recommend I take?
.
Yes you can use that version. I will push it to the main virtualhere build today.
