Issue with Aladdin Digital Signature Token over VPN

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with an Aladdin digital signature token.

I'm using a QNAP TS-231P2 as a server. I’ve installed the server version (4.4.0) from the App Center, and everything works correctly on the local network—the device is detected and recognized without issues.

However, when I try to use the token remotely (via VPN—L2TP or WireGuard—or through port forwarding), the server is recognized and I hear the “device connected” sound in Windows, but SafeNet does not recognize the token.

I attempted to manually update the server software to version 4.8 from the official source. Although the update process reports success, the server still shows version 4.4.

Could you please assist with this issue?
