USB memory key problem

Hi,

I am new to this software and trying it out on 2 test machines.
Machine 1 is a physical computer running Windows 11 Pro (26H2), on this computer I am running the Server part as a service.
Machine 2 is a virtual computer running Windows 11 Pro (26H2) using the client part.
My USB memory key has 3 partitions and one of these is bitlocker encrypted.

I had successfully started it up once on the client where I selected "Auto-Use Device" for the USB key.
Additionally I unlocked the encrypted partition and everything succeeded.

After reboot of client computer (the virtual) nothing would work anymore.
When inserting the USB I can shortly see the drives on the server - 
the physical - then they disappear (as expected) - because the server service want to claim this device.

Then on the client computer (the virtual) the device is shortly shown in the client app, 
then it disappears and a Windows popup with "USB device not recognised".
The actual error ends with "A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

What am I doing wrong here?
I need something like this function - would like to buy - but I need to know if it is going to work first.
