OSX Client driver installation failed - no function

After installation driver upgrade fails with info "...driver could not be loaded. Please reboot..."

Log shows the following:

01:04:54 INFO :Log Started
01:04:54 INFO :VirtualHere Client 2.7.5 starting (Compiled: Mar 14 2015 07:28:36)
01:04:54 INFO :Using config at /Users/saschahalm/Library/Preferences/vhui Preferences
01:04:54 INFO :IPC available at /tmp/vhclient
01:04:54 INFO :Auto-find using Bonjour - on
01:04:54 INFO :Installed drivers version 1.0.71 will be upgraded to version 1.0.73
01:05:23 INFO :Installed driver is now version 1.0.71
01:05:30 INFO :Installed drivers version 1.0.71 will be upgraded to version 1.0.73
01:06:01 INFO :Installed driver is now version 1.0.71

It seems to be a problem with driver versioning.

Reboot doesn't change a thing. Client isn't useable so far despite unlimited license.

Help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Sascha

Hi Sascha, could you download

Hi Sascha, could you download 2.7.7 from http://www.virtualhere.com/usb_client_software and give that a try, if it fails, take a look in Finder -> Utilities ->Console and see if there are any messages related to "com.virtualhere" and that should show the reason what its failing and either post here or send to mail@virtualhere.com

Works...

Problem is solved with Version 2.7.7.
Thanks Michael!

I tested on my osx 10.10.3

I tested on my osx 10.10.3 and it works fine.

Is your virtualhere osx client running as a service? It seems like its running as a service since there is an error from launchd.

If its running as a service could you uninstall the service first by running the client VirtualHere with the -u argument
e.g

sudo /Volumes/VirtualHere/VirtualHere.app/Contents/MacOS/VirtualHere -u

Then reboot your machine, then run the client again and it will install the drivers. Then you can install it as a service again with

sudo /Volumes/VirtualHere/VirtualHere.app/Contents/MacOS/VirtualHere -i
