Could not connect to....

Hello

I am trying to get VirtualHere working on my Steam Link - I have purchased and installed the app through Steam directly.

When trying to get the link to work the system message log just repeats the same "Could not connect to 192.168.0.87:7575"

The PC and SteamLink are on the same network etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is that the ip address of your steam link, can you ping it from your client pc?

That's the IP that is automatically populated (I assume because I am using the Steam version?)

I am not at my PC setup right now to test pinging the Steam Link manually.

Just a thought, my current network setup is as follows: (Not sure if this might be cashing the connect issues?)

ISP Router:

  1. Powerline to Desktop
  2. Eero WiFi Network (Steam link is connected to this)

Could the fact the data is running back through the ISP Router be causing the issue? I could try connect the steam link to the PC directly too.

Possibly, they need to be on the same network segment. You can determine this by looking at the first three numbers of the IP address of the steam link and the PC

 They should be the same.
