Quest 3 Connectivity Issues

I previously experienced the same issues with connectivity that were outlined in this forum post some months ago: https://www.virtualhere.com/node/4598

The test APK did seem to fix my problems at the time, but it seems like some changes in more recent versions of Horizon OS caused it to break again, though intermittently. It would instead work fine for a bit but disconnect randomly around 30 mins to an hour after and then refuse to reconnect until the headset was rebooted. Updating to the latest version didn't seem to work out of the box though, as the APK appears to be missing the horizonos.permission.USB_CAMERA permission which was present in test build 1078.

This unfortunately makes it so that the devices like Vive's face tracker aren't detected since the app doesn't have permission to access it. I'm unsure if the intermittent connectivity problems are currently an issue on the release build of Horizon OS, but I'm in the PTC for it, so I can confirm that this is at least a problem on builds of v83 and has been at least for a month or two now.

Its probably some bug in the quest. Its a total mess now. Too buggy

I couldn't say for certain about whether its an issue or not on Meta's side. I know at least the previous build I was using (1078) did work when configured correctly, and then later started breaking. As a test, I was able to get the latest APK working by editing in the missing permission I mentioned, and I didn't experience any of the recent issues I had with the previous build. This of course doesn't really work as a long-term solution as it breaks the license check, but it did otherwise function as expected.

I spent a few hours testing things out yesterday to ensure things functioned properly, and I didn't experience any of the intermittent connectivity problems like I did before. This does appear to have fixed things for me as I had anticipated. Thank you!
