Steamlink on Google TV Streamer with Logitech G923

Hello,

Unfortunately, the VirtualHere server via SteamLink on the Google TV Streamer is very unstable. If I completely reset the system, it works. However, when I reconnect the controller’s USB cable, VirtualHere no longer recognises it (even though SteamLink does recognise the G923). If the TV streamer has been in standby mode (or I use another app?), it can no longer find the controller. The only way to get it working again is to force-close the vh app. After that, everything works again. When I then launch the SteamLink app, the steering wheel is displayed.

Best Regards

Sebastian

REboot the google tv entirely and dont run Steamlink at all. Plug the wheel in. Does virtualhere detect it ok? Unplug and replug, does that work? Im trying to determine if perhaps steamlink is grabbing the wheel before virtualhere. If we remove steamlink from the equation then we can see if that is the issue.

Thank you for your reply. Understood, but how can I see if vh has detected the logitech wheel without starting the steamlink app and doesn't steamlink start the vh server? Additionally, I use the Linux client vhui64 because I'm on Kubuntu and the client of steam on linux (snap) doesn't work.

Just run the virtualhere app on android by double clicking it

In the server window is no usb device (don't know if there should be) and the client now says "This server trial has expired, please purchase a license to continue using." I have purchased the steam version but apparently the vh usb server on android does not know that.

There should be a device listed if its detecting the wheel, doesnt matter about the license. I dont think its working for some reason.
