I'm using a CCID smartcard reader,
works well on Windows 10 x64 with the same client version 4.9.1.

but on macOS, no smartcard device was detected and no error is shown when using the remote device,
how can I debug the problem?

Correct 10.15 is not currently supported well, you will need to wait for a few releases from Apple so they fix all their bugs in Catalina

#3

Hi, what can User/We do to report this issue to Apple? Is it a known problem which is relevant to other user or only the kind "virtualHere" is using this case!?

#4

Um not sure if you are aware but apple's attitude over the past few years regarding developing for OSX, is that they dont really care about osx much . Ive logged bugs with them many times they never respond with any decent info.Specifically for driver kext support (which is what VirtualHere uses) is that apple is doing their best to break things and remove driver support from Catalina. So im not sure if virtualhere (or any similar software) will work in the future. They may improve support or they may not its impossible to know.

Shit... yeah, I can imagine the ignorance from Apple.... Cause of no funtion with 10.15 I tried an alternative software instead virtualHere and it works with Catalina... I donĀ“t know how they realize the function, I just wanted to ask you what you think how long I/we need to wait for Apple to fix something that virtualHere is working again... never the less: Thanks for your work

Any update on this? There is a 10.15.1 version of OSX out now.

If we're waiting for APple to fix this, is it possible they may never fix it?

#7

Im not sure yet

#8

Any chance the update macOS Catalina 10.15.3 has improved things?

Give it a try and see, i notice audio devices via virtualherare working again whereas before they were not
