Connection problem with DEIF CGC400

Hello good day. I am trying to get cloudhub up and running with a Raspberry 3B to manage a genset controller. The direct USB cable controller emulates a COM port which the software uses to connect. When trying to use it through cloudhub, it is detected, but it constantly gives me CRC errors in communication. Are there possibilities to correct this behavior? Thank you

#2

VirtualHere wont drop or corrupt packets. So if you get this sort of error then your network latency is too high. What does it show in the Virtualhere Client -> USB Hubs->About->Statistics ?

#3

Hello Michael. The latency ranges from 0 to 1 ms at the time of connection to the controller. The cloudhub is connected by network cable. Try with raspberry pi3 b and raspberry pi3 b + and with both I get the same result.

In the cloudhub log see:

Thanks for that. The latency should be fine and the log shows no issues. So the next thing to try is updating the serial drivers. I downloaded their software and took a look and they are using avery old serial driver from silabs. Could you update that to the latest by

1. Uninstalling Silicon Labratories CP210x USB to UART bridge from windows apps and features
2. Going here and downloading the latest driver https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers
3. Rebooting the pc and trying again.

VirtualHere most definately works with CP210x (CP2102 2104 etc ) so updating their old serial driver is worth a try
