Using Xbox One Wireless dongle with Shield TV Pro and Moonlight/Gamestream

I've had the PC version of SteamLink for years (shortly after getting my pre-order steam link IIRC), but haven't really kept up to date on what it can do.

I've currently got an Nvidia Shield TV pro that I stream the PC to using Moonlight. I'd like to use the Xbox one wireless adapter with it as the bluetooth connection occasionally cuts out and I'd prefer the dongle connection to do some 4-player couch co-op. My main questions are;

1- Will this even work or do I need to use the Steam link app on the shield?
2- Do I need to buy a license for the VirtualHere app on the shield for this to work? I've got the paid/full version of virtualhere for PC so just want to be certain if I need the android license too.

Thanks!

Yes it does work on android. Although at the beginning of the year microsoft changed something and it didnt work for a while (im not actually sure of the status at the moment...but i think its back working again https://www.virtualhere.com/content/xbox-wireless-adaptor-shield-tv

You can give it a try. After 4 tries you would need to purchase an android license for virtualhere.
