Client crashes after a while

Forums

Hi I am seeing 2 issues on my client.

1) Is that the config file seems to be overwritten at each boot. I have set AUTO USE ALL many times ([AUTOSHARE] ALL=1), but upon restart of the service auto use all is off. What could be causing that.

2) Which is currently more serious, is that the service seems to get stuck in a bad state, and drops all the USB connections. Here are the logs I've gathered from the device.

USB Slowdown

Forums

I am currently seeing a 10x slowdown of USB speeds while operating via virtualhere vs direct, is this normal?

I'm generally seeing throughput of 5000-6000Kb/s via direct usb, but only seeing 500Kb/s through virtual here. I'm running on a Raspi server, with the client connected to the same switch. I'm still debugging if this is related to the Raspi hardware, the hub, or the software, but figured I'd start here to see if anyone has seen the same thing.

Thanks!

NAS disks not spinning down

Forums

Hi

I've got a QNAP HS-251 with a licenced VirtualHere server running. I've noticed that since I've added the VirtualHere app, the NAS disks are no longer spinning down. Using the blkdevMonitor.sh script, I've noticed that if VH is not running, then almost no disk activity is happening. Is VH writing to some log files that would stop the disks from spinning down?

Thanks
Loris

Android ADB devices not connecting

Forums

I'm setting up a few USBIP servers on a raspberry pi, to share with a linux client on the network. On the rPi I am putting a bunch of Android devices that I will use the linux client to talk to via adb.

Unfortunately I'm running into a few problems, the main of which is that actually getting adb to talk to the devices is exceedingly flaky (last week it was working, today I can't get it to really work at all).

Here's what I'm seeing:

Windows Client crashes frequently

Forums

I have the server running on a Raspberry Pi (trial) and a client on Windows 2008R2.
Every couple of minutes the client pops a notification that it's running on a trial server (I know that, no need to keep reminding me...)
And after about 20 notifications it crashes.
