Virtualhere on raspberry pi 4 model B 4GB with 2 logitech HD PRO C920 webcams

Forums

I have installed virtualhere on my raspberry pi 4 model B 4GB.

After i install the client on my pc I can see the 2 webcams (Logitech HD PRO C920) connected.  I don't have a license (yet, as i need to know if this works first) so i can only use 1 at a time.  When i click use this device and check what i can see in the windows camera app it is indeed streaming the capture of the webcam.  However the screen will keep flickering.

Ilok support

Forums

Hello, I tested using Virualhere to remotely use ilok for a day, but I found that it usually takes 2 minutes for ilok to load my authorization during remote use. Is there any way to solve this? The number of authorizations in my ilok is about 350,

Webcam connects, but no data/output.

Hey there! Been trying to use VirtualHere with an android device (Samsung Galaxy S9 Unlocked) with a Nexigo N60 webcam and a Windows 11 PC, after getting the server licenced it saw the camera, however it never transfered data, and windows Camera was saying device unreachable.

I've found so far no pointers in the faqs or existing posts, which has me baffled at this early hour.

Error: "Message is too big (comp=1629175835, uncomp=21306112)" with VirtualHere on Windows 11 Kiosk

Forums

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with VirtualHere on my Windows 11 kiosk setup. I have a USB thermal printer (model KPOS_80) connected via VirtualHere. When I attempt to print, the following log messages appear:

2025-03-10 17:39:13 INFO :192.168.1.18 connected as connection 3 (Standard TCP) 2025-03-10 17:39:13 ERROR :Error received message is too big (comp=1629175835, uncomp=21306112) 2025-03-10 17:39:24 INFO :Connection 3 successfully removed (reason: timeout)

Controller disconnecting every few minutes with error “ Error "Operation not permitted" (-1) trying to use this device.”

Forums

I am using a 8Bitdo Ultimate with the 2.4ghz dongle. I have my server running on a Nvidia shield in my living room. My client is my desktop PC running windows 11.

My PC is connected to the router via Ethernet, the shield is connected via Ethernet plugs as the WiFi is too unstable.

The controller connects and works perfectly, sometimes for hours at a time, but sometimes when I use it, it will disconnect every few minutes (sometimes every few seconds) with the error: Error "Operation not permitted" (-1) trying to use this device. (IP ADDRESS HERE)

Help! Android server stopped working since don't know when.

Forums

Hi Michael,

I've loved the VirtualHere service since I bought a license for my android 6 tv a few years ago. Lately I found the server stopped and couldn't be started again. Tried resetting all user data, uninstalling and reinstalling (from Play Store or sideload the apk from our homepage), still no good.

Could you please help me check? Here is the log.

Virtualhere Server crashing

Forums

Hi.  I'm running the latest VH Client and VH Server (from MSStore) on Windows 11 24H2.  I connect 3 devices (Jabra Speaker, Logitech C922 Camera, and a Blue Microphone).  Within the first 10 minutes, the VH Server crashes.  I restart it, and typically, it's fine after that but there have been times when it crashes again, and I need to restart it.  After this, it usually works for the rest of the day without issue.  I have a dmp file and analyzed it with Windows Debugger which is pointing to a memory access violation.
