Novation Launchpad Mk2 not sending/receiving midi messages over VirtualHere OSX

Forums

I am trying to use a Novation Launchpad Mk2 USB Midi controller on a remote instance of Ableton Live. The Launchpad shows up on VirtualHere client list as well as in the Audio Midi setup. Ableton Live sees the device in the preferences, but the Launchpad does not light up and it won't send or receive midi messages. Any thoughts?

Would it be possible to connect to a virtually here server via javascript and gain access to the devices? Serial and audio. Thinking a long living Java script app running in a browser. What they call a single page app SPA at work. Not sure if that is a real tla?

Virtualhere on Startup on GL.INET Router / OpenWRT

Forums

hi,

i run the virtualhereserver on my gl.inet router with the command ./vhusbdmipsel in command line successfully.

But now i want to start the virtualhereserver automaticly on boot of the gl.inet router.

I try different things, like create a script in init.d and enable it.

Looks like:
boot() {
echo boot
./usr/sbin/vhusbdmipsel
}

OR
boot() {
echo boot
/usr/sbin/vhusbdmipsel
}

But it doesnt work.

what are the limitations of the demo version?

Forums

what are the limitations of the demo version? i could not find this on the site. perhaps i missed it but that said i think it should be easy to find. the reason i ask is if its a time based limit i would want to have all the hardware in place i want to test b4 i installing the demo.

question 2
so as i read it it for 50$ i can install one server version of the software (the computer that can access the usb devices).
and unlimited servers (the computers that have the physical usb devices plugged in).
am i correct?

Limitations of the Client?

Forums

Hi,

I am running VIRTUALHERE USB Servers on a Raspberry Pi3 (vhusbdarmpi3 v4.2.0) and on a Raspberry Pi4 (vhusbdarmpi4 v4.2.0).
The Client is a VMWare ESXi Virtual Machine on UBUNTU 20 in console mode (vhclientx86_64 V5.0.7)

Generally it is working. I can connect devices from both servers.
But when I exceed the amount of 8 devices no more devices can be connected.
I tried auto connect and connected them manually. Starting from 9th device no connection is possible.

The latency is very low (since the devices are almost serial-USB Converts.

New User question - Trying to configure for 3D Mouse

Forums

Hi, sorry if this has been asked, didn't see this anything similar in a quick search.

I have a PC in the office with a 3D mouse from 3DConnexions. It is a wireless mouse, paired to a dedicated Bluetooth receiver dongle plugged directly into a USB 2.0 port on the computer. I have verified that this 3D mouse works with the CAD software on the computer

At home, I have a wired 3D mouse connected to my home laptop thru a USB hub. I have verified that this mouse works with a local copy of the CAD software.
