Linux server licence

Forums

Hey,

I'm about to purchase a licence for my setup. I already use the free version with the VH daemon running on my Linux local machine, and the VH client on a distant Windows machine. The purchase page mentions two things that I would like to clarify before committing:

1. "A license is bound to the server hardware and cannot be moved or transferred"

Logitech QuickCam Fusion and VirtualHere on Raspi 4: CRASH!

Forums

Tried many USB deives in conjunction with VirtualHere and had so far no probs. Today, I attached a "Logitech QuickCam Fusion" on VirtualHere (Raspberry Pi 4), VH client on Windows 10 x64. Cam was detected as "0x08c1" but in Windows system there was the cam to see as as "Logitech QuickCam Fusion"- seemed all ok. But in the same moment, if any application tried to connect the cam, whole Win 10 OS crashed and was no more responsible.

If I connect this cam directly on the Win 10 Desktop-PC it is recognized and works well w/o any additional drivers.

Thrustmaster & Shield TV

Forums

Hi,

I'm having issues passing my T.Flight HOTAS 4 through to my Win 10 PC.

The device is connecting through the client fine however device manager is showing it as an unknown device.

When connecting directly to the PC it functions fine and windows detects it.

Is this a limitation of the Android being used as a server?

Thanks

Speed-Comparison: VirtualHere on Raspberry Pi vs Silex DS-600

Forums

Due its compatibility and stability I would prefer to use VirtualHere (optimized / licensed) on Raspberry Pi 4 instead using Silex DS-600.

Software on Silex DS-600 is sometimes picky and not quite stable.

However, I made a speed comparison with following results:

Silex DS-600 USB-Server / Transcend 128 GB USB3 Stick: stable 120 MByte / Sec. (1,5 GByte file)

VirtualHere (optimized version / licensed) on Raspberry Pi 4 (USB3-Port) / Transcend 128 GB USB3 Stick: 35-40 MByte / Sec. (1,5 GByte file)

VirtualHere Client: How to disable splash-screen?

Forums

Situation:
VirtualHere Client always open a splash-screen (pop-up informational window) if a new USB hub has been recognised and / or a hub in the network has been switched on.
In this informational window there is a short description of the recognised USB hub, like: "Virtual USB Trial Server Edition" and / or "This server is optimized for the maximum speed for the target CPU".

Question:
How to disable this informational but mostly annoying window, which will always pop up on all computers with installed VirtualHere client?

Thanks for help.

Greetings

W10 Client Slow To Find Raspberry Pi Server

Forums

I recently installed the server on a Raspberry Pi 4 and a client on two Window 10 PCs (identical builds). One of the clients finds the server and displays the hub with devices almost instantly while the other PC takes up to an hour to find them. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Multiple Nvidia Shield TV & Questions

Forums

Hello, I am going to use 2 of the Nvidia Shield TV devices (only one will be active at the same time).
My use case is: 1 PC stored away in a room (headless). I am going to use one 2 Shield TV devices (maybe 3 in the future):
1) Is my Thinclient Desktop PC where I do my work but without most of the cables and case)
2) Living Room for 99% playing Steam games remotely

Do I need 2 licenses for this?
What if the device changes, let's say due to a replacement Nvidia Shield (had it replaced one time already last year)?
