I have a USB Hub (powered), with 2 devices plugged into it, on multiple occasions the devices worked fine in this configuration, but now they aren't showing up, are there anty more steps I can do to debug why they aren't showing up, or commands I can run on the pi to poll and check if the devices are seen?
dmesg output from rpi
I have set up my racing rig in the basement, VH is working perfectly for my wheel and all regular USB attachments, I want to connect the Rift S - is there any way to do this? perhaps some workaround to connect the DisplayPort plug via a USB 3.0 adapter?
I really don't want to have to buy an Oculus Quest 2 (although I hear that it works great with VH)
Any leads would be greatly appreciated
thanks
Hi there,
I didn't find anything on this topic. So I was wondering, if VH Server would work on ARM based Mac (macOS 11.1+). I tried installing it, then an error message came up, saying the developer has to "adjust" something.
Here are my two questions:
Is there a work around, to make VH Server work on Apple M1?
The Linux FAQ says: "Can more than one client use the same USB device simultaneously? No, not physically possible"
Interesting on MacOS I am able to run two programs that use the same USB in an interleaved style. As long as they both don't send commands on the USB at the same time, it works!. There are occasional issues, but it mostly works with some refreshes needed sporadically.
The USB on the other end uses HID profile. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. Also, one of the programs is in python using the hidapi library.
With the kext issues in Big Sur for the HV Client, would it be possible to have add a VH Client to Raspberry PI and then connect the Pi to the Mac via a USB Cable?
Instead of running VH client on MacOS you run it on some other device which connects via USB cable to a Max.
Hi,
I have 2 Windows 2016 Servers - 1 as server and second as client. I am trying your software under trial license. If all test is fine - we want to buy.
I connected 1 device (USB Rutoken dongle) on server and try connect it on the client side and get an error.
Hello I have a question,
We want to use this program because of CoVid people are working home.
From a laptop they RDP into their computer at work.
On the laptop they run VirtualHere Server.
On the computer at work they run VirtualHere Client.
In VirtualHere Client we set up the laptop name with port :7575.
When RDP'd into the PC VirtualHere Client says "Connecting to USB hub..." and after 30 minutes finally the USB devices show up. Today I tried it again but didn't work, for my colleague it's not working at all.
Hi,
Looks like you have an awesome tool, but I am having some trouble getting it working.
First, I bought the steam version to use with my steam link. It all worked correctly (the devices are recognized) but causes tremendous lag/stuttering when used with my devices. I went to plan B and installed the free linux version on my ASUS router to see if it performs better, and it looks like it's working fine.. smooth, no lag, no stutters. Is this a known issue? Should I just refund my purchase on Steam and buy the linux version?
