Raspberry Pi 5 Bookworm error: (vhuitarm64:16196): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 12:53:11.171: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar

Forums

Switching from 32 to 64 bit architecture on Raspberry Pi 5 using latest Bookworm.  Getting following error when loading the vhuitarm64 client:

(vhuitarm64:16196): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 12:53:11.171: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar

Seems another user had this problem in April of last year on Bullseye and you gave him a test version to try but that link is gone.

I tested it on another machine just to be sure and the same results.

Solved: Photobooth Printer works with OSX but not with Windows

Forums

Hello everybody

I stumbled across virtualhere while I was looking for a solution to wirelessly print photos from my photobooth.

I have installed the latest USB Server on an Raspberry Pi 3B+ and installed the Windows client on the booth. The printer is recognized by the client software and I can set it to "in-use".

Unfortunately, the photo is not getting printed by the printer. But: I am usually using a MacBook at home and printing from the MacBook works like a charm.

Loupedeck crashes on Mac client. RPi Zero 2w Server.

Forums

I am trying to use a Loupedeck Live S on a Macbook Pro M3 (Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224)) from a Pi Zero 2w.

The Loupedeck shows up on the server list and will connect to the computer (it's shown on the Mac's USB list, and the managing software shows it as connected) but the Console screen does not refresh and after a few seconds it will crash and shut off.

I noticed that for the few seconds before the screen crashes the inputs on the console do work as intended on the computer and managing software.

Windows VH USB server not working

Forums

Hi there,

     had been using VH nicely for USB forwarding from windows to WSL with VH linux GUI client and windows USB server.

Now IT has applied a new Microsoft intune profile to my machine and the windows server gets killed as soon as it is started. Before I go back to IT with a big stick has anyone else had similar issues?

Dongle not getting the real hardware ID

Forums

I am using some USB dongles as licenses, however they don't work with VirtualHere.
For example this is the expected value for the Device ID:

Model: USB Flash Disk USB Device - PnP Device ID: USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_USB&PROD_FLASH_DISK&REV_1100\B202011130001468&0

But this is what shows up using VirtualHere.

Model: USB Flash Disk USB Device - PnP Device ID: USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_USB&PROD_FLASH_DISK&REV_1100\3&13CB6D05&0&B202011130001468&0

Ubuntu Client works poor with Android Server's usb camera.

Forums

Hello, I recently learned about the technology called USB over Ethernet, and I was considering applying it to the project I am currently developing, as it would be the ideal product for me.
However, the operation of the remotely connected USB Camera is very unstable in my current environment.
First of all, in the Windows 11 environment, it worked great as if it was directly connected, but in the Ubuntu environment (Client #2) that is scheduled to be configured in the project, the USB camera video and captured images appear broken.
