Support for VirtualHere hardware and software
How do I upgrade to the latest version?
First I want to thank the developers for this excellent software. It has been working extremely well for me. I purchased the Android license and I am really enjoying the multiple device wireless connectivity with my Quest 3.
Hi,
I'm not having any luck with the wired Apple EarPods, no issues with another headset on the same setup. It's still connected when checking the client, but no sound coming through. Works fine with speakertest on the rpi itself. Any ideas?
Edit: I've tested with blacklist snd_usb_audio in modprobe.d and that is a functioning workaround.
Hello everyone,
We are experiencing the following issue with a customer:
The USB server is running on a QNAP NAS, and the client is running on an APPServer (Windows 2022 Std).
From one day to the next, the programmes used via the stick (Simba & Datev) are no longer usable because they cannot find the licences.
After restarting the server, not every stick is always recognised; the only solution is to disconnect and reconnect several times.
What could be the problem?
Hi Michael,
you helped me solve the problem with my old Logitech G25 racing wheel, i've since been gifted the G923 but getting an error trying to connect using the modified server you posted in the "Upgrading from 4.6.0 to 4.7.0 - devices eject after a few seconds with surprise unbound" post, but the official release works fine. Just letting you know in case there's an issue with the next official release.
both devices on same network, 1gbps connection, wired. Bot windows 11
Hi,
I am currently using VirtualHere with my old SteamLink hardware on a Windows PC running Steam and it used to run very well for years.
Now I switched to a Linux (Mint) client. No problem, I have switched over to the (non-Steam) Linux client and everything works again.
Greetings,
I've installed the android server APK on a VIVE Focus Vision.
Everything functions good, usb connected to headset gets detected on PC.
The only problem is, if I try to click the menu on the top right, I face a problem.
On first click, nothing happens.
On second click, menu appears for a moment then immediately closes.
Rinse and repeat
From what I understand if I want to purchase the license, I'd have to access this menu.
Is it possible to get the license and proceed the purchase from the client side on the windows PC?
Hello,
I’ve been using a SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 keyboard for a few weeks, connected to a Mac Mini M4 Pro. VirtualHere is running as a server on the Mac Mini. On my Windows 11 PC, Apollo is running, where I use the VirtualHere Manage App to automatically start and stop the VirtualHere client when launching the stream.
Hi,
I'm encountering a strange issue with a Prolific RS232 adapter during loopback testing. My test script sends and receives multiple packets in a for loop at various baud rates (9600, 14400, 115200). Occasionally, I see the message "usbip_core: unknown command" in the logs, and after that, the serial port (/dev/ttyUSB0) is no longer available even though the VirtualHere client (/usr/sbin/vhclientx86_64 -t "LIST") still shows the device as "In-use by you".
Any idea on what might cause this issue?
Hi Support,
This is new problem for me that I encountered recently; not sure if there was some random Windows Update or Driver update that somehow broke my VirtualHere Setup. But I realized recently if my computer goes to sleep now and then once it wakes up; the VirtualHere service stops works. My workaround is that I can reboot my Win11 computer and then VirtualHere works again. Sometimes I can ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and that sometimes can fix it.... but not always.
