Windows 11 does not see the usb stick

Forums

Good morning everyone,
I'm trying the program on a qnap nas server.
I installed the app on the nas and the client on my windows 11 pc.

The client sees the nas and the usb sticks that are connected to the device but if I go to set them to use them nothing happens on the computer.

How can I unblock this situation?

Thank you
MIrko

Server reports error on macOS 15.5

Forums

I've encountered an issue while using VirtualHere. I have the server (version 4.7.8) installed on macOS 15.5 and the client (version 5.7.9) on macOS 15.3.1.

When I attempt to connect a USB mass storage device, the server generates the following error log:

Acmer works without any problems with the same configuration.

Run the camera through LightBurn 1.7.08

How do I increase the USBFS memory on the Raspberry Pi for the USB Camera 4k 8M 120 Degrees?

VirtualHere client on MacOS Sequoia crashing (Namespace SIGNAL, Code 6 Abort trap: 6)

Forums

Hi, I'm trying to get VirtualHere working on my MacOS host (m1) and client (m3). However on both systems, the client crashes when opening.

I see this in the console.app:

Exception Codes:       0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

TLS Performance

Forums

I enabled mutual TLS on VirtualHere and I've noticed significant performance degradation. The client is a MacBook Pro M4 and the server is a Windows 11 machine on a Intel i7-13700K so I would not expect the overhead to be noticeable compared to unencrypted traffic but it is. We are using VirtualHere to connect to a JTAG debugger so the amount of traffic being transmitted is likely less than 1 mib per second.

When I connect with openssl s_client I see that the chosen cipher suite is:

License: safe to re-install OS?

Forums

Hi,

The OS is quite old and bloated on my Raspberry Pi, and I would like to re-install it by fully wiping the memory card (or maybe better getting a new one). I'm not sure which part of the hardware the license is bound to.

  • Is it safe to wipe and re-install the OS (newer major version than currently installed) on the same card?
  • Is it safe to also replace the memory card?
  • Anything else I should know (as long as the Raspberry Pi board remains the same)?

Thanks

Frequent Disconnects

Forums

Hello, after having issues running Virtualhere reliably on a Raspberry Pi 5 I decided to try it with two Windows 11 PCs instead.  The client is a Windows 11 Home Dell laptop and the server is a Windows 11 Pro GMKtec.  I am able to start the client and server and connect and use the devices, however it seems like the client and server take turns crashing.  They work fine together, then out of nowhere the server software closes without warning and disconnects, so I then have to go back to the server and restart the software.

New Update does not work with Firewall settings

Forums

Before the recent update on the server side i had no issues connecting to the server (after setting up the firewall accordingly).

But after todays update i can no longer connect to my server if i don't disable the Firewall completely.

I have the Windows app for the Server side running 4.7.8.0 and the Client running 5.8.5 / 5.8.7
