RPi-optimized server crashes on RPi 3 for no apparent reason

Forums

I have the VirtualHere server running on a Raspberry Pi 3. Specifically, the latest Raspberry Pi-optimized version. Periodically, the server just crashes for no apparent reason.

Initially, I thought it had to do with the fact that I had the Pi connect to the local network via WLAN. So I swapped the connection and now it's wired. Still the same. Here's an example log:

Client not able to run in background - license issue?

Forums

Hello-
I'm trying to figure out why I can't run the client as a service, in the background, on a mac. The VirtualHere server is running on a raspberry pi with a license.

When I look at the license, I see that it starts with: License=00000000fdb5f4c6,0,.....
Yet, the mac address is b8:27:eb:b5:f4:c6. Will this be an issue to run this as a service?

ClientIdMap Fullname not working

Forums

Hello Michael,

I'm trying to config ClientIdMap on config.ini but it not work very well.
The client application doesn't get FullName on .

E.g ClientIdMap=David Jobs (alien),user24
Fullname = David Jobs
Username = alien
Nickname = user24

But if I press properties the info on User is wrong.
It's appear User: alien (alien) when should appear User: David Jobs (alien)

In my case I have multiples username's called "alien" but the fullname it's diferent.

Help Wibu Codementer

Forums

Hello,

I am trying to implement VirtualHere to share several Wibu Codemeter dongles, (I still use only one to test and then we will buy the license) and it works great but I have a problem that I would like to see if it could help me.
Sometimes if you are using the dongle on the client and the internet fails or the internet is very slow on the client side it gives a bsod "STOP 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL - usbstor.sys".

OpenTPCast rumble only on one controller

Forums

I'm using an OpenTPCast to connect an oculus rift to a windows 10 PC. I'm asking this here rather than the tpcast discord as i think this is a virtual here issue?

The base TPCast runs with linux kernel version 4.9, but i have updated that to use 4.14 hoping that may result in better experience. I eventually found that upping the servers CompressionLimit to 800, up from the base 384 resulted in better tracking and somewhat better rumble response.
