Support for VirtualHere hardware and software

Wired connection set up.

Forums

Hi,
I'm running Win10 and the GL-MT300N-V2 device. Have been able to get the system working in wireless mode, but bought it to use over a wired system.

I've enabled LAN mode on the GL-MT300N-V2 device.
Connected the GL device to my router via an ethernet cable plugged into the LAN (not the WAN) port.
Started up the client software on a Win10PC connected to the router.
The Win10 client cannot find the GL device on the network

Any advice on how to get this to work?

thanks. JP

Win7 64 bits client - PC crashing when connecting remote device

Forums

Hi,

I successfully created a linux USB server. I'm now struggling with the Win 7 64 bits client. I see the server and I see the USB devices attached to it.

When I want to remotely use my Brother MFC-7340 printer, Win 7 detect it as a wierd device named 0x01e7. I tried to update the driver but Win 7 always said it's a Composite USB device. I tried to "force" to associate it to a Brother driver but Win 7 gave me a Blue Screen of Death...

Using virtual here client on win10 to server on raspberry pi. It is working with usb key or webcam.
Now trying to connect to my telescope (usb with usb to serial converter). This works on usb on my computer direct, but on the client. I select once and get the above message. Select again and it connects but telescope software cannot see the serial port.
Any clues gratefully accepted.

Probably covered before but I cant find it.
Client win 10
Server raspberry pi 3B+
Server is installed ok and running (query returns PID number)
Client is running but cannot see server on Pi.
Both on same network
I have tried disabling win firewall but not working.

22:44:50 INFO :Error 'No such host is known. ' getaddrinfo failed for raspberrypi-2.local.:7575

I am not sure what this means. Is there a port issue? How can I fix it please.

Physicals USB doesn't work anymore since VirtuaHere installation

Forums

Hello guys,

I use VirtualHere since a few months. It workd fine, it's great!
I installed it on my Mac Book Pro. This one has a Windows 7 Bootcamp's partition. Both have VH clients.

However, since this installation, I meet some issues.

On Mac OS : When I plug an USB device, it doesn't work first. I have to unplug/plug it one more time to detect it

On Windows 7 : USB devices are never detected.

VirtualHere USB Server sporadically disconnects device

Forums

Hi,

I have a problem with the VirtualHere USB server on windows sporadically disconnecting users from a mounted USB device.

If I look in the log, I see several entries like this:

11/05/18 11:07:53 LOG_ERR DiInstallDevice failed, (0xe0000203)

The device in question is a license dongle.

Thank you,

Easyfind on T-Mobile network

Forums

Alright, I have a Raspberry PI3 running a paid version of the Virtual Now Server. I also have a subscription to the Easyfind. Everything works great on the Verizon wireless network(connecting my Raspberry Pi to a Verizon wireless hotspot while PC client is on home wifi). It works great. The only problem is verizon is terrible regarding customer service and a general suckiness regarding data caps, so I switched to TMobile. It no longer works on the TMobile network. I can access my Rasberry Pi through other VPN services like Teamviewer on the TMobile Network but Easyfind doesnt work.

access iPad on OSX Mojave served from Windows 10

Forums

I am trying to access an iPad Air on OSX Mojave served from Windows 10. It all seems to work at first - on the OSX client the iPad briefly changes to "(in use by you)" and the iPad makes the ding that indicates it's been connected to a new machine. The message then disappears, the iPad dings again, and it shows up on the Windows 10 Pro machine again. The server log has:
