VH performance with NanoPI-Neo2 and Canon T1i camera

Forums

Got everything set up yesterday then discovered I'd left my mini-usb cable in a different city and that I was short one Cat6 cable. By then everything was closed to I had to wait until today to try things.

Anyway, I messed a bit with linux so I can't say what the vanilla memory and cpu usage were (ubuntu-NanoHAT-OLED version) but I know what they were before starting VH.

Before:
CPU avg load ~0.44%
Mem use 32/483MB

After starting VH as a daemon
CPU avg load ~0.50%
Mem use 34/483MB

Linux background service difficulties (systemctl)

I'm using Ubuntu 16 and attempting to get the server running in the background. I tossed vhusbdarm64 into /usr/sbin and at first I tried the script in the sticky above by changing $NAME then putting it in /init.d then

root@NanoPi-NEO2:/etc/init.d# update-rc.d virtualhere.sh defaults

Windows Recognizes Device But Not Software

Forums

I'm planning on using VirtualHere for Wii Emulation with Dolphin using bluetooth passthrough and steam in home streaming. Locally everything works, Dolphin recognizes bluetooth adapter. So i plug bluetooth adapter to Steam Link and i can see the bt adapter under device manager with right driver. But this time Dolphin won't recognize bt adapter.

For a software there shouldn't be any difference if i use a device locally or over virtualhere right? What am i missing, how can i fix this?

Windows server and device compatibility

Forums

Hi all,

I am looking for a solution to usb device sharing in my company and need some information about VirtualHere USB Server for windows:

1. Can VirtualHere USB server role computer be used at the same time like client ?
2. Are signature capture pads compatible with VirtualHere products ? Exactly, Wacom STU-530/G

Thanks in advance.

Password authentication: Client doesn't get authorised when service is installed

Forums

Hi Michael,

Firstly, I just wanted to say how handy this software is - it's made life so much easier. Keep up the good work!

I've successfully used your Authorisation script https://www.virtualhere.com/authorization to request a password when using a device. I altered it a bit so that it's not user specific and is only concerned about a password.

this is the bit I've changed:

Devices don't appear on client after updating from Android Nougat to Android Oreo.

Forums

We have a licensed copy of Virtual here to connect device attached to an Google Pixel. When the Pixel was running Android Nougat (7.??), all the devices were visible to our windows client (version 4.2.2). However, after updating the Pixel to Android Oreo, none of the devices are visible to our windows client. Below is the server log from the Pixel:

BSoD on Win 7 32bit

Forums

Paid version of VirtualHere on a Raspberry Pi 2.

Client is on Windows 7 32 bit, which is actually a VM in VMWare Fusion on a Mac.

Works beautifully to read the USB device (Motorola radio), and it writes perfectly as well but then immediately blue screens the VM when the write is complete.

No problem when the Motorola radio is directly connected via USB, only through remote and VH.

Any clues?
