my usb device works initiaslly for a while then disconnects, occasinally it will auto reconnect but more often i have to restart everything. Also it doesnt always initially appear in my user software although vhusb says its connected and in use. hardware is rasoberry pi3 running latest patched raspbian (updated today) usb ghardware is pangolin fb3 a usb 2.0 dongle/DAC for laser control software. below is the syslog it appears to be dropping connection to the fb3 for some reason. lots of error 22 discarding urb Any ideas?

I was looking forward to using VirtualHere to share various USB devices.
It worked great for sharing keyboard and mouse.
Then I tried to share my Xbox One controller, and it doesn't work: the virtualhere server simply crash when I attempt
to claim the device from a client.

I've found a post claiming that the xbox one controller doesn't work with a windows server. However, I've tried with
my Libreelec Wetek Hub device (running kernel 3.14 so maybe a bit old) and the result is the same: the server
process simply crash with segmentation fault.

Is there a way to set the logon account credentials when installing the Windows client service? Right now, if I install the service with vhui64.exe -b, it makes the logon account Local System. This makes it so users that use a device from this client show up as "SYSTEM", instead of their username. Also, if multiple people are using a Windows service client, the ClientIdMap parameter won't work because they will all have the same name (SYSTEM). I've tried using RunAs to make sure vhui64.exe was running as the current user, but it still makes the client show up as SYSTEM.

I am trying to make the location of shared usb devices constant.
When i connect Device A it is in Port_#0001.Hub_#0001 as reported by device manager, and when i plug in Device B in a different port it is reported as Port_#0002.Hub_#0001 , so far so good, but when i unplug Device A then i unplug Device B and plus it back into same port it is reported as Port_#0001.Hub_#0001.

I want the location to be related to the port at which the device is connected to not the order at which it is bound by.

When the server isn't running and the client set to not auto detect and with ip set in manual hubs, the client reports that the server cannot be connected to every 10 sec, so if the server comes online it may take up to 10 sec for the client to connect to it.

How do i decrease this delay and what is the lowest possible (1 sec would be Perfect)

So i used the 3.1.0 pi2 version of usb server on Orange Pi Plus 2E and when ever i remove or add device when server is running , it exits with signal 11 error.

If you need any logs just tell me how do i get them, i'm a linux noob.

I am using VirtualHere for some time now. I run the latest client as a service. I recently noticed that there is an unknown device in the device manager. My OS is Windows 10 x64.

Everything seems to run normal, apart from this anomaly. Should I be worried? I think there should not be an unknown device.

I'm using the Android server (trial) and windows client to test if this is going to work for what i want. I have a 6TB drive plugged in to my Shield TV via USB. It detects and mounts the HDD fine. Windows client sees the device. I can use the device on windows as expected. However, I notice when I use the device through the client, it unmounts it in Android. When I stop using the device it doesnt remount it. Is this expected functionality? Or is this because I'm using the trial? I am willing to buy a license if I can confirm this issue doesnt happen in the paid version.

I just found out about this program, and I'm really excited to try it. I've downloaded the Android app on my Samsung Galaxy S2, but I everytime I'm clicking "start" it gives me the following error message: "Error: Copy error, /data/data/com.virtualhere.androidserver/vhusbdan:open failed:ETXTBSY (Text file busy)".

Do you have any idea about what this could be and how it can be fixed?

when i install the virtualhere(Win 64bit), message "command line option syntax error" and" vhenum.exe not found" happen. how can i solve the problem?
