BSOD with Pi/Pi2

Forums

Hi,

I want to use VirtualHere between a windows client and Pi server.
A USB modem is pluged on my Pi.

With a Pi B, after some communications, I have a BSOD on my client machine...
With a Pi 2, it's worst, BSOD directcly.

My Pi does not respond, most of the time, I have to reset it.
I'm not sure that logs can help because the pi semms crash...

My configuration:
server:
Pi & Pi 2 with 2015-05-05-raspbian-wheezy
version of vhusbarm 2.4.9

client:
windows 7 - 64bits

Com-port not responding

Forums

Sometimes when you run the Com-ports are not are forwarding. It helps to restart the program several times.
And sometimes it happens that in the Device Manager, the device appears ISF cart question mark (unrecognized device), and only helps restart the server. Is there any possibility not to restart the server, and only the service? then what service?

taskkill vhui64.exe don't work

Forums

Why, if you enter the command "taskkill /im vhui64.exe" the program is not completed on Windows server 2008?

if you enter the command "taskkill /im vhui64.exe /f " the process is killed, but when you restart the program, not the ports are forwarding Until then, until you press in the system tray, right - >> output.

After that the program works correctly.

MFC-Printer on Raspberry Pi 2 Server not usable on OS X Client

Forums

Hi,

I'm running VirtualHere (3.0.9) on a Raspberry Pi 2 (optimized Version) as a Server.
I have a Brother MFC-J410 Printer connected to the Server.
My OS X Client (10.9.5) does show the Printer (and the Rpi Server...) and I can also select the Printer and choose "Use it".
Even though it says "in use by you" the OS printing tool as well as the Brother utility keep on saying the Printer is not connected (and printing regardless of that information doesn't work).

Client crash/freeze (L)ubuntu

Forums

Hi,

I'm using an Raspberry Pi 2 as a Server/Hub and a Lubuntu 15.04 (64bit) in a VM (VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6) as Client.
When I use my Terratec H7 and Tvheadend scanes for channels, that my complete OS crash or freeze.
So it is impossible to to use is in this combination.

Can someone tell me what kind of informations are needed to solve this issue?

Thanks,

IPV6 Support

Forums

Version 2.4.6 of the server and version 3.1.3 of the client now support IPv6 as well as IPv4. VirtualHere follows the standard RPC3986/3484 specification for IPv6 support and IPv6 textual address entry.

By default the server will attempt to use a dual/stack ipv4/ipv6 compatible stack if available in the kernel. This means that clients using ipv4 or clients using ipv6 will both be able to connect to the server over port 7575 with either IP protocol

Samsung quirks

Forums

In the http://virtualhere.com/quirks page, you mention that " VirtualHere will automatically generate the special events for iPad/iPhone/iPod2G and Galaxy S without requiring any changes by you." Can you share what the Samsung Galaxy special events are?

I am currently working through issues with a Samsung Galaxy Tab running Android 4.4.2.

Cannot see devices when running as server (windows)

Forums

Hello,

If i run the vhui64.exe as gui, then I can just fine see all devices on my hub, 10.22.4.2:7574 (using ssl)

But when I run is a service then i can only see this:

C:\Users\inpay>vhui64.exe -t "LIST"
VirtualHere IPC, below are the available devices:
(Number in brackets = address, * = Auto-Use)

(10.22.4.2:7574)

Auto-Find currently off
Auto-Use All currently off
Reverse Lookup currently off
VirtualHere is running as a service

Isn't the service using the same configuration file as the gui?

Automatic connection to USB device after reboot of server.

Forums

Hi!
We need to provide different USB devices to different clients.
Use the option "AUTO USE DEVICE".
But after server reboot, the first connected client has access to all devices at once.

How to configure the client to automatically connect only to required device?
