Running server on raspberry pi

Forums

I'm trying to get the server running on a raspberry pi.
What i would like is to connect remotely to an omron plc. This plc has a usb to serial adapter to connect.
I can connect my pc to the remote usb to serial adapter but as soon as I start the omron application the following shows up in the raspberry log:
Sep 21 12:16:21 raspberrypi vhusbdarm: 192.168.4.158 connected
Sep 21 12:16:31 raspberrypi vhusbdarm: Device 113 BOUND to connection 1

Colour correction USB panel on Windows

Forums

Hi,
I'm testing VirtualHere with a colour correction panel. specifically, BlackmagicDesign Resolve panel, which actually consists of three separate USB consoles.
With an OSX client, the entire system seems to work fine -- the Resolve software sees the control panel.
With a Win7/64bit client however, only "normal" devices go through properly (keyboards, mice etc). When the panel is 'connected', Windows acknowledges this with the usual sound effect, but the panel doesn't get recognized by the Resolve software.

USB SPEAKERS - QNAP NAS

Forums

Hi,

I am trying to share some Bose Companion 5 USB Speakers in a Qnap Ts-253 Pro.
I am getting to the conclusion that for some reason the speakers are “not supported” by this NAS unit, but i decided to post to the forum hoping someone could have already managed to workaround a similiar situation.

are forwarding only one Com port

Forums

I manually prescribe IP Computers for port forwarding Com 3 and 4 Com.
And manually run the program, it works perfectly!

But as soon as I run the program as a service, you are forwarding only Com 3. Settings I copied the profile in in C: \ Windows \ system32 \ config \ systemprofile \ AppData \ Roaming \ vhui.ini

why forwarding only com 3?

Why add comand th CMD???

Managing many VirtualHere Servers using SaltStack

Forums

Using saltstack.com software makes it easy to manage many VirtualHere servers on a network by keeping configuration and upgrading scripts in one place centrally managed by SaltStack automation

VirtualHere user spoage has kindly shared his salt stack scripts available at https://github.com/spoage/vhusbd-formula for those that are interested. Thanks Shane!

Multiple clients using same server and port - issue?

Forums

Hi. I am looking for a system to run our new raspberry pi devices that are attached to 1-4 serial devices in our lab. We currently have ser2net but it is not easy to use and suffers from the problem of one of connecting to a serial port and not disconnecting.
If I connect and go to a workshop or am involved in something else, no-one else can connect to that port. This is highly frustrating, especially when the person wanting access is thousands of miles away. The only way to close my connection is to restart the raspberry pi or physically unplug the port.

BSOD Page fault with Windows 10 x64 and RPi

Forums

Hello everyone,
I'm writing here because I need your help.

It's almost a month that I'm using your virtualhere software for the arm Raspberry Pi and it worked really well until today.

Now every time I start the server on the Raspberry Pi (which is fully updated) and I connect the usb device through the client on Windows 10 x64, I get a BSOD with the error "Page fault in non paged area" and after some seconds the computer reboots itself.

What can I do? Is it some kind of bug due to a recent Windows update?

Thank you for your help!

OSX 10.11 El Capitan.

Hi,

I saw in a search that you didn't see any USB drivers in El Capitan Beta 2, has anything changed ? I have a rootless setup and get the following message at startup:

09:13:52 INFO :No drivers installed, I am installing new ones...
09:14:32 INFO :Installed driver is now version 1.0.89
09:14:32 ERROR :IOIteratorNext = 0. com_virtualhere_vhhcd is not correctly registered in the kernel, you may need to reboot

problem with 64bit windows

Forums

Hi.
I've been using VH for over a year, but I had problems with crashing system when using VH. I had downgraded my Windows 7 to 32 bit and it helped.
However now I had to get back to the 64bit system and all the problems returned :(
Today I reinstalled the system, downloaded vh client and I can't connect to my devices. I've got 2 devices:
