Support for VirtualHere hardware and software
What is the maximum length for the device names?
Let's say I have two identical servers (A & B), and I attach two identical devices (X & Y), one to each server, in the same ports.
"LIST"ing from the shell client, I would see something like:
Server A (1.2.3.4:7575)
--> Device X (ADDRESS_A_X)
Server B (5.6.7.8:7575)
--> Device Y (ADDRESS_B_Y)
Are ADDRESS_A_X and ADDRESS_B_Y the same in this case? Or are they guaranteed to be unique?
Is there an estimate on when El Capitan will be supported by the usb client?
Thanks!
Hi,
everything was working fine.
After upgrading the server and clients to the latest version I get the following error on one client:
Error in SSL_accept, error:140760FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:unknown protocol
The certs and keys did not change. The certs are still valid.
Any idea?

VirtualHere USB Server for Raspberry Pi (Optimized build)
VirtualHere Client 3.1.9 starting (Compiled: Oct 16 2015 18:47:55)
Hello ,
I have running VirtualHere on a Raspberry Pi2 with different devices successful. But if we want use it with a "Fritz!Card USB V2.1" the driver where not installed successfully on Windows 7 32Bit and also 64Bit. We get an error "Code 10". The device is working directly at the computer without any Problems.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Hello Michael,
as you provide your binary files mostly without a file suffix, the IE Browser is using the MIME type application/octet-stream.
This results in a direct display of your files in IE Browser instead of forcing a download dialog.
The only way to get the file is the known right mouse key context menu "save as" dialog, but for some company internal reason I'm not able to use this, since the download is going over our central virus scan engine and for that the download has to be started as normal left mouse key "open" dialog.
Hi!
I wanted to extend the functionality of a small device (RFXtrx433E USB HA controller). The USB server (running on rpi) works just fine, and also attaching the client (also running on rpi). But when i communicate over the link the client-machine just crashes after a couple of seconds and has to be rebooted hard (nothing is logged, it simply crashes). Is there a way to figure out what is causing this? When i use the windows-client things seem to work just fine, no issues at all.
Running freshly downloaded binaries.
Please advise,
Martin
Is it possible to list which USB devices are in use on the server's CLI? Something similar to the client's "-t LIST" command (I'm running server on the Linux box and a mix of Linux and Mac OSX clients).
Hello everyone
I have a problem with Virtualhere Client on Windows 7;
He told me that I can not install the drivers and said Pilot
that:
Hi,
I am using virtuell here to read temperature sensors connected to two Raspberry Pi's. Both Pi's are in the same network and each of them has one sensor connected directly to the USB Port.
The Raspberrys have both hamachi and are logged in into a private network, where my Windows 10 PC is as well (the software to read the sensors works only on Windows). Pi's and PC are in completly different local networks and are communicating only over hamachi.
Both of the Pi's are up and running. I have a stable connection and virtuelhere usb server is running on them.
