Is there a way to monitor the activity status of USB devices?

Forums

Is there a way to monitor the status of USB devices to identify users who are connected to a device but are not actively using it? If these users can be identified, the administrator can disconnect them to save resources. For instance, some USB dongles may be occupied for extended periods without actual use by the users connected to them, leading to wastage.

How to get the wired keyboard mouse recognized by Android 10 and above OS?

PICO4 VR uses Android 10 or higher OS, but it works because it uses a modified OS. For Android smartphones, is there a way to bypass the wired keyboard and mouse restrictions? I'm currently using a rooted Android 14 tablet.

WiFi USB Unable to connect to network

Forums

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 1 B+ with a USB WiFi adapter. The device connects to the network normally right after installation. My intention is to use this device to connect to the network, not to share it with clients. The Windows client can detect the USB devices connected on the server side, including the USB WiFi adapter, until I restart the Raspberry Pi. After the restart, the USB WiFi adapter stops working. I tried adding 'IgnoredDevices' to the config.ini file, but the issue persists.

Microsoft Teams and VirtualHere

Forums

Dear community,

I would like to use Microsoft Teams on a remote PC (which is a VMWare Workstation VM) with the following devices:

  • Jabra Speak 410
  • Lenovo MC60 Camera

I set up VirtualHere Server on a PC having devices attached and a client on a VM*) having Teams installed.

The VM can see both devices, they are present in the VirtualHere Client and also in Device Manager of the VM. But Microsoft Teams cannot transmit video through the webcam.

If I start the "Camera" app on the VM, the screen remains blank, though the webcam's led lighting.

Apple SuperDrive on MacBook with Apple Silicon

Forums

Hey there,

i use virtualhere all the time and it works flawlessly. But when i connect to my macmini with Apples SuperDrive connected, my Macbook wont connect due to its limitations with adequate power distribution, despite the macmini providing the power. Thats the negativ on using devices like they were physically connected...

Is there any procedure to trick my macbook into thinking the SuperDrive gets enough power?

Has anyone found a solution?

Thank you in advance!

Getting COM Ports in client list is inconsistent across machines

Forums

Love your software, but we are having an issue and really need some help.

We are forwarding a device from one machine to another using your software.

The device we are forwarding is a USB device but uses a USB to serial driver, so the device shows up in windows under LPT and Ports with a COM Port number.

We have the device drivers installed on both the client and server side.

When we “use” the device in VHUI64.exe, we see the COM port and the Server Machine name.

iPhone support 2024

Forums

Trying to get an iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 18.0.1 to share from a Linux server to a MacOS/X Sonoma client. This product looked very promising, but it isn't working.

I've blacklisted the apple-mfi-fastcharge and ipheth kernel modules on the host, as well as disabled/masked usbmuxd.service, so the host is for the most part leaving the iPhone alone.

However, when attempting to connect from the client, I see these logs on the server indicating that the iPhone has disconnected from the USB bus:

USB WebCam on Windows not connecting- latest version

Forums

Hello,

I had this issue previously where I couldn't connect to my USB Camera and had to revert back to a previous version.  I'm again seeing this on the latest VirtualHere Windows release.

It will show it's connected initially, the disconnect.  All other devices work just fine.

Is it possible to download previous versions of the client/server?  I can't seem to find where to do this.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Edit - below is the log from the server side:
