Support for iOS devices from Raspberry PI running Ubuntu -> Mac OSX Monterrey

Forums

Hi Michael,
I've been encountering some issues with getting VirtualHere to pick up an iOS device plugged into a raspberry pi server. The server is running on Ubuntu, and the client is on OSX.
Attached are the logs from two consecutive connections.
Replaced ipv6 address with
/var/log/syslog:

Using VirtualHere on MyCloud - cant see any devices on Client

Forums

Iam currently using VirtualHere on my MyCloud EX2 Ultra NAS.

I installed the VirtualHere App on my NAS and using the Client-Software on a Windows 11 System that in connected to the same local network.

While using the GUI of the VirtualHere Client, I see ne "MyCloud Hub" but i cant see any devices.
I tried it with a dongle (that also works as a storage stick) and I used normal USB-stroage Sticks as well.

I never saw a device i could choose on the MyCloud Hub on my client.

RPi forward it's BT

Forums

Hey there,

As the subject says, is there a way to just forward the BT of the RPi itself? in stead of a dongle I mean, I have a dongle but it's horrible and I'm wondering: why can't I just use the BT from the Pi itself?

Is there a way? or is it so embedded that it's no way to forward?

Thanks in advanced

Passing USB through to Local Hyper-V OS

Forums

Afternoon,

I am trying to come up with solution to pass USB device through to a local Hyper-V OS I have installed. Forgive the noob-ness, but I have done the following and I must be coming up short somewhere. I was succesfully able to perform job listed above with USB Network Gate with no issues. I just am trying to avoid paying crazy amount for their software. I have no issue paying for full version of VirtualHere if needed. There are no USB's that populate.

- Installed x64 Server on local computer and run

File descriptors leak

Forums

Hello Michael,

I have been using Virtual Here server on Raspberry Pi 3B (server version 4.2.0) with three clients - Windows 10, Ubuntu 20.04 and Mac OS 11 (client version 5.2.0) for some time and I have noticed that after some time - two weeks usually, the Virtual Here server process runs out available file descriptors (Linux limits 1024 for the process) and I receive the following message: Error 24 opening device (/dev/bus/usb/001/043) file descriptor, No file descriptors available

USB Webcam disconnects

Forums

I'm running a ubuntu server on a raspberry pi 3 a+ and my webcam that I have connected to the pi which is running VirtualHere keeps like disconnecting and gives a black screen/won't show anything I have to go unplug it and replug it in. Is the raspberry pi 3a+ not good enough to run VirtualHere?
