Is it possible to kick a user using a USB resource? Eg a resource usb is in use and someone forgot to free it or did not shut down the computer.
Ahoy, after making the audacious switch to Linux, I've discovered that the SteamLink VirtualHere app does not work on Linux based systems. It installs, launches, but then immediately closes. I've also tried just launching the SteamLink app on my Raspberry Pi, enabled the USB devices I want to share, but it still doesn't work when connecting to my Steam Linux client. Is there anything I'm forgetting to do? (PS: I've already enabled the correct firewall ports on both my Pi and Linux PC.)
Hello everyone.
I launched VH on Synology. Is it possible to configure two clients to use one usb resource at the same time? Do you always have to switch?
I have a Dymo LabelWriter Twin Turbo that used to work correctly with VirtualHere. Now when the printer is set to be used in the VH client, the printer will not appear in Device Manager/Devices and Printers as expected (Windows 10/Server 1607). Previously, the printer would simply appear as if just plugged in once set to auto-use the port and device. Now, nothing perceptible happens, other than the device going offline on the server machine.
Hi.
Firstly thank you Michael for making a fantastic product.
I have been using VirtualHere with a purchased license on a rpi4b running Ubuntu Linux for the past 6mths. I've had mixed results..... mostly good!!
I find that I have to restart ubuntu every 2 days or so as VirtualHere crashes.
So as an alternative I would like to try running VirtualHere CloudHub instead to see if that is more stable.
I've tested the free version today, and cant for the life of me get ports 7575 to be recognised as open while running VirtualHere CloudHub.
I've had the PC version of SteamLink for years (shortly after getting my pre-order steam link IIRC), but haven't really kept up to date on what it can do.
I've currently got an Nvidia Shield TV pro that I stream the PC to using Moonlight. I'd like to use the Xbox one wireless adapter with it as the bluetooth connection occasionally cuts out and I'd prefer the dongle connection to do some 4-player couch co-op. My main questions are;
I would like to use Virtualhere USB Server on an iMac to server an AudioLab MDAC and MDAC+ and connect to it from Windows 10.
I've tried a Belkin USB Server and also a Silex DS-510 and both fail, USB flash drives work, but when I connect to the MDACs, it causes a BSOD! So there's clearly something wrong here, I mention this because If I connect to the AudioLab MDAC and MDAC+ via virtualhere, I can connect, but Windows 10 complains of a driver error, it cannot start the driver ?
