Support for VirtualHere hardware and software

VirtualHere on a PC with several users

Forums

Hello,

I don't know if this topic has already been covered.

However, I have the problem that when a user starts VirtualHere under his account, everything works fine.
If this user now locks his account and another user logs in, then this user can not start VirtualHere.

Is there a solution for this?

Pi Zero Resets after every reboot

Forums

I have a Pi Zero with the cloudhub-pi0w-factory-sdcard image. It boots fine but every time I change any settings it reboots and restores to default. I'm using a 64gb microSD card that's been tried and tested with many other rasPi images on other pis. I emailed virtualhere and they said i needed to buy a license to fix this behaviour which i did and yet it forgets the license and restores factory settings on each reboot.

I know it's going to be obvious but what am I doing wrong?

thanks

Pete

Capacity of GL-MT300N-V2

Forums

What would you estimate to be the capacity of the GL-MT300N-V2 in terms of throughout (Megs per second). I am using your software to remote SDR dongles on a wired gigabit network.
I love your product and I have installed servers on a Linux machine, the MT300, and an old Linksys EA3500 router (OpenWRT). I licensed the Linux machine and I will do the same for the MT300N if it can handle several SDR dongles. Depending on the application each SDR dongle consumes between 2 and 6 Megs per second.
Keep up the good work! The price is right and the software performs VERY well.

- Windows client 5.2.0 on Ryzen 9 3950 running Win10 Pro (Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043)<br />
- Network is 1Gbit to RPi and 10Gbit to Windows<br />
- Samsung Portable SSD T3 (linux shows it as Superspeed Gen 1 (lsusb shows it as bcdUSB 3.0)

USB 3.0/3.1 implemented

Forums

I’ve looked around this forum and it seems that usb 3.0 is not supported when running the server in windows and also the client on a windows pc.

I also noticed that running the server on a Linux pc and client on a windows pc does support usb 3.0 but at a max bandwidth of 40mb/sec?

Has true usb 3.0/3.1 (5gb/10gb/sec) been fully implemented yet on either the windows server version or Linux?

I’d like to purchase this but I will be mainly running usb 3.0 peripherals with this and would like a true usb 3.0/3.1 support.

I'm able to remote a HID device, but not a serial device

Forums

Hi! I've read through the client and linux faqs, but I'm still stuck. Using the script at https://github.com/virtualhere/script, I've installed the server on a Jetson Nano. I've then installed the client on a Mac running 10.13.6. If I plug/unplug devices on the Nano, I see them come and go on the client, so something is working. I can even plug a mouse and keyboard into the Nano and drive the Mac. Neat!
