So I got told about VirtualHere From a Support Agent for shadow, which is a cloud based gaming computer any who, I downloaded the USB Server for My Computer and I'm Having troubles figuring out if it needs a specific port , I use the Spectrum rac2v1k Router any help would be Great thanks

I am able to establish a connection with my USB device attached to my NAS. The USB device is a USB DVD drive. I am on a Windows machine running Windows 10 64 bit and the NAS I am using is a Western Digital MyCloudEX2Ultra. When I try to use the device I get this message: "Sorry disks cannot be redirected via VirtualHere on a WD MyCloud NAS". I browsed through the forum and could not find any solutions or similar posts. I have a RPI 4 Model B (4GB), it's running the latest firmware and OS (Raspbian lite in this case). I'm trialling the latest version of VirtualHere. Apart from the usual bits like locale, timezone and hostname, the pi4 is basically bog stock and for now won't be doing much more than (hopefully) running VirtualHere as headless server, in order to extend remote access to a USB device across the LAN.

I'm on mac OS Big Sur, so i installed windows 10 on VirtualBox to install VirtualHere.
installation ok and if i install the client on this VM i see my USB drive.

But on my real client, an other computer with windows 10 on my local network i can't detect the serveur.
All computers are connected by a simple switch.
I stopped the firewall, i re installed "Bonjour", i indicated the IP of my VM and my Mac...

I don't know what to do anymore ...

We have for a while now been struggling with the problem where connections are unexpectedly being disconnected in the following case:

User A connects
User A mounts device 1

User B connects
User B mounts device 2
User A loses connection to device 1 and needs to remount.

Also see the following log:

When installing a dummy driver through GUI, I got a following error. I suspect it has something to do with new Big Sur security features. Can you confirm it?

I am a new customer, and have been using VirtualHere to share USB devices connected to a 2014 iMac 5k, running Windows 10 in Bootcamp, with a client connected via ethernet that's also running Windows 10.

I am seeing some odd behavior with a TrackIR v4; the device is sharing properly, but the performance seems to be slow. The status LED on the TrackIR camera is flashing when the device is being used on the client, and the tracking itself is a bit jagged/choppy. This does not happen locally, which seems to rule out a hardware issue with the TrackIR itself.

Hi I purchased the android license and configured it on the ShieldTV, installed the client on win10 but can't figure out what can be achieved connecting an xbox one controller throught it :)
Some questions:
Can i use the xboxone controller using the usb cable or i need to use the dongle ?
Does the rumble work once the controller is connected?
Can i use the xbox chat headset through the controller?
Is the latency lower then connecting the controller using bluetooth?

I'm looking to put together a USB server capable of sharing 3 or more National Instrument USB DAQ boards, preferably via my employer's VPN. I was wondering to what extent the VirtualHere USB server performance depends on the hardware running it...will a Raspberry Pi 4 do a better job allowing high speed interfacing with the DAQ boards compared to a Pi 0 W? Is there a minimum memory requirement for the USB server, and would more memory be helpful? I'm trying to make this somewhat cost effective so, if I won't need 4 or 8 GB of RAM, I probably won't get the pricier systems.

Been very curious about this and have since purchased a Raspberry Pi and VH license. Unfortunately, despite working somewhat, currently it's not working for me quite as well as intended.

FTR I'm somewhat computer savvy, but I am a little out of my depth here.

I have 2 macs, a Mac Pro 2019 and a Macbook Pro 2018. Both on Mac OS 10.15.7 (i know, officially not supported).
