Virtualhere Client crashes after mDNS_AddDNSServer errors

Forums

Hi

We have an issue, where VirtualHere Client crashes from time to time. The only information I see in the logs before the crash is lots of mDNS_AddDNSServer errors. Systemctl status output below.

We are running VirtualHere Client version 5.0.7 on Debian 8.9. Output from uname: #1 SMP Debian 3.16.43-2+deb8u3 (2017-08-15)

Issue with: Raspberry Pi4 + Moonlight (playing audio on the host PC) + VirtualHere (generic)

Forums

Hello,

I was planning on buying a license for the CPU optimized build for Raspian, but before that, I was testing the "Generic" one.

Initially I was using my Macbook to connect to my desktop with Moonlight, for game streaming but the issue is that it doesn't stream back the microphone. I tried installing macOS's VirtualHereServer for using only my USB headset connected remotely to my desktop, but it seems VirtualHereServer it is not working well on macOS Big Sur.

Sorry disks cannot be redirected via VirtualHere on a WD MyCloud NAS

Forums

I am able to establish a connection with my USB device attached to my NAS. The USB device is a USB DVD drive. I am on a Windows machine running Windows 10 64 bit and the NAS I am using is a Western Digital MyCloudEX2Ultra. When I try to use the device I get this message: "Sorry disks cannot be redirected via VirtualHere on a WD MyCloud NAS". I browsed through the forum and could not find any solutions or similar posts. I would appreciate any help or ideas. Thank you,

Binding Server to IP:Port?

Forums

Hi,

I have a RPI 4 Model B (4GB), it's running the latest firmware and OS (Raspbian lite in this case). I'm trialling the latest version of VirtualHere. Apart from the usual bits like locale, timezone and hostname, the pi4 is basically bog stock and for now won't be doing much more than (hopefully) running VirtualHere as headless server, in order to extend remote access to a USB device across the LAN.

server in VM no detectable

Forums

Hello,

I'm on mac OS Big Sur, so i installed windows 10 on VirtualBox to install VirtualHere.
installation ok and if i install the client on this VM i see my USB drive.

But on my real client, an other computer with windows 10 on my local network i can't detect the serveur.
All computers are connected by a simple switch.
I stopped the firewall, i re installed "Bonjour", i indicated the IP of my VM and my Mac...

I don't know what to do anymore ...

Failed install of OSX driver

Forums

When installing a dummy driver through GUI, I got a following error. I suspect it has something to do with new Big Sur security features. Can you confirm it?

2020-11-27 11:44:10 INFO :No drivers installed, I am installing new ones...
2020-11-27 11:44:11 INFO :Using OSX 10.9+ driver
2020-11-27 11:44:33 INFO :Installed driver is now version
2020-11-27 11:44:33 ERROR :IOIteratorNext = 0. com_virtualhere_vhhcd is not correctly registered in the kernel, please reboot and try again

Also a hint how to proceed to disable Big Sur security would be welcome!
