Client on Debian 10.6.0 - Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")

Forums

I'm on the edge of buying one or more licenses, so started with downloading the USB server for Raspberry, and that works fine with my Windows client.
However I also wanted to use some USB devices on Debian 10.6.0, but the vhclientarmhf does not start and gives an error;

Sytem Messages: "Could not connect" and "Error 10065"

Forums

This is a connection between a Synology DS1819+ (DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 2) and a Win10 machine. This happened prior to updating to the new vhui64 client and then again after updating to the client. Note: The program IS still running on the Synology, and the USB devices ARE still able to connect to the Win10 machine with client. Thx

steamlink on raspberry pi crashing with VirtualHere

Forums

Hi,
I have set steam link on my raspberry pi 3+ on two installations and bought virtual here on steam:
1) standalone steamlink on raspbian, here virtualhere connects to PC client, but it crashes immediately after stream starts and steamlink then restarts
2) libreelec 9.2.4 kodi 18, where there is no crash, but VH client is not showing any connections (message connect to USB hub...)

QNAP Hub found, but not connected devices

Forums

Hi Michael,
VH has been working nicely for a couple weeks, all of a sudden (POSSIBLY after QNAP firmware update?), the connected devices are not being found. I was using a Belkin F5U234 4-port hub, but even connected direct to unit, they're not visible.
Is there some command I can SSH into my NAS to see what devices it's seeing? At this point I can't tell if it's a NAS problem or VH.

Also, the client app never starts minimised, even though the option is enabled. (Win 8.1x64)

All the best,
Dax.

Good value provider for running Windows in the cloud?

Forums

Hi. I'm a Linux user but I own a lot of doohickeys (especially GPS devices) that work best under Windows: firmware upgrading software, syncing software, stuff like that.

What I want to do, but haven't done yet, is (1) to setup a little raspberry pi somewhere in my apartment for the USB port (2) run Windows in the cloud somewhere (3) connect the two with VirtualHere and (4) use some remote desktop software to access the Windows installation and run the proprietary software, which will access the USB port in my apartment. Yay.

Please, help me creat conditions

Forums

I'm pretty sure you can "use the device" only when a particular .exe is running. This would help me to connect or disconnect devices automatically when moonlight opens or closes, for example.

For instance I have a mouse with many buttons. These functions can only be used by windows. The mouse is connected to the raspberry and only the basic buttons work. Now if I "use the device" raspberry stops recognizing it. That is why I would like it to only "use the device" when I am streaming the moonlight session. And, of course, it will stop "being used" when leaving the session.

ASTRO HD Camera on VH server on RaspberryPi 2 Model B - streams with artefacts

Forums

Hello,

I am using:

vhusbdarm server on RaspberryPi 2 Model B, Linux raspberrypi 5.4.51-v7+
huit64 client on Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS

I am testing how well a HD camera would stream from RPi to Ubuntu:

In proprietary video software (Cheese) I am getting black screen.
In Chromium, I am getting a heavily artefacted stream.

Checking webcam directly on RPi (not using Virtual Here):

In Chromium, I am getting a steady, albeit a very slightly delayed video.

mDNS_AddDNSServer errors in log

Forums

I am running the vhclientx86_64 in Ubuntu 18.04 (as a service), and I have noticed a lot of mDNS_AddDNSServer errors in the log. These seem to be coming from the vhclient:
