Support for VirtualHere hardware and software
Hello,
Hi,
I want to buy a license for my Shield TV so I can connect my Xbox controller adapter. Now the Shield tv doesn't have a browser and even though I installed one on mine, I want to buy through a different device because doing so on the Shield simply is a pain in the ass.
Now I noticed that the serial you get on the purchase page is different per device. So if I buy the license from lets say my phone, can I still enter the serial on my Shield TV? Surely this process should be A) documented on the site and B) certainly can (and should) be a lot more consumer friendly.

Hi all,
Without any change to my configuration, this morning, I was not able to connect to my VirtualHere server using the VirtualHere Client on my linux machine (CentOS 8 ).
I keep having this kind of error when running any command (as simple as ./vhclient -t "LIST") :
> ERROR: Unknown IPC request
Any idea ? It's really frustrating because everything was working fine before ..
Thanks,
BG
Is there an event I can use to run `sudo shutdown -h now` on my server?
I try to shutdown the Raspberry Pi running the Virtual Server before I power down. I can do this by sshing in, but something that I could trigger from the client (UI) woud be helpful.
I know that the event system is locked down a bit ... and there are risks to opening it up. I'd be OK with that risk....
Running the latest server/client in an attempt to use SteelSeries Arctis 7 headphones.
I have an old pair of Logitech 930 headphones that work 95% of the time on VirtualHere (sometimes get the same error above but random restarts usually solve it).
This new pair of headphones, however, won't connect no matter what I do.
Both boxes running Windows 10 fully patched.
How do I go about troubleshooting this?
Thanks for any advice as I try to keep the kids occupied during lock-down. :)
I just purchased VirtualHere for Steam Link to enable us to use a web camera (Logitech Webcam Pro 9000) on our living room TV through Steam Link. When initially setting up VirtualHere, the installation threw up an error message (didn't get a chance to record it), but I was able to successfully connect the camera through the Steam Link Settings. Zoom detects the connected webcam while plugged into the Steam Link, and the video works great for about 30 seconds, then the video freezes.
Hi,
I'm trying to have virtualhere running between a Jetson Nano and a machine running Centos 6.4.
Unfortunately I have no option to upgrade my Centos 6.4.
The Jetson Nano acts as the server, everything runs fine with it, I can share with recent OS client.
Win10 can't load any driver for the shared device.... It appears on device manager as USB Composite Device....
I have noticed that the latest versions of server are having trouble on upgrading the installed version on Synology, with latest DSM. During the installation process the installer keeps going on forever. I connected with SSH on the NAS and realized tha the installation folder of the program was completely gone inside the @appstore folder where it is normaly located. This is the second version that triggers this effect. Further more, the client still connects to the server although the folder is not present.
